Inside the Blanket Creek Pottery, Paul Borian's Studio

Blanket Creek Pottery was founded by Paul Borian on a rural homestead near Falmouth Kentucky. Each piece of Blanket Creek Pottery is individualy wheel-thrown by Paul.

Each piece Blanket Creek Pottery is designed for every day use and its ability to withstand thermal shock and retain heat make it ideal for baking,  the lightweight stone ware forms and attractive glazes make it suitable for serving on any table.

Paul Borian learned his craft while working at a small production facility for years before leaving the city life behind. Upon moving to his country homestead Paul realized that most of the components he needed to establish Blanket Creek Pottery were at hand on the property.

Paul started the Blanket Creek Studio with a minimal budget and learned to improvise.   Borian dug clay from the pond on site and found that it melted into an attractive glaze and became the basis for the Amber Blue line.   After years of scavenging, building and rebuilding with a pioneering spirit Paul Borian created his own customized, efficient production studio designed to produce handmade pottery of the highest possible quality.
