The Songbird was designed by Talwin Morris. Morris was the art director for Blackie&Sons publishers in Glasgow Scotland from 1893 to 1911. He was also a close associate of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The Songbird design was used for the cover of a series of books called the Red Letter Poets published in 1902. The Songbird tile is displayed in a Dard Hunter solid oak frame.
